International arrivals to Vietnam rose 6.6% year-on-year to 1.67 million in July 2026, the lowest level in ten months and a sharp slowdown from the 14.7% growth recorded in June. Nonetheless, the tourism sector continued to benefit from favorable visa policies, active promotional campaigns, a diverse range of tourism products, and the country’s natural, cultural, and culinary appeal.

Arrivals from Asia increased 0.6%, supported by higher visitor numbers from Taiwan (2.1%), Malaysia (8.4%), Singapore (41.8%), Cambodia (38.0%), and the Philippines (39.9%). Visitors from the Americas rose 14.5%, driven by growth from the United States (20.2%) and Canada (1.9%).

Meanwhile, arrivals from Europe jumped 34.6%, led by strong gains from Russia (118.7%), Germany (7.7%), and Sweden (32.5%). Visitor numbers from Australia increased 25.2%, while arrivals from Africa were up 20.2%.

Over the first seven months of 2026, international arrivals to Vietnam reached 13.92 million, an increase of 13.8% compared with the same period a year earlier.
