In December 2025, Pakistan's consumer confidence indicator fell to 40.2, decreasing from November's five-month peak of 41.0. Perceptions about the current economic conditions dipped slightly to 40.8 from 41.2 in November, while projections for future economic conditions decreased from 40.7 to 39.6. Additionally, opinions on the appropriateness of purchasing durable goods weakened, dropping to 34.2 from 36.3. Future income expectations also saw a decline, falling from 47.6 to 45.5. On the other hand, the anticipation of rising unemployment over the next six months increased significantly from 69.2 to 70.7. In contrast, there was an improvement in expectations regarding households’ financial situations, which rose to 45.6 from 44.1%. Furthermore, inflation expectations slightly eased, moving down from 20.0 to 18.9.
